The drive in from the center of town
Route 74 runs through the town, but the route from the town center to our door follows I-84 and US Route 6. The 28 minutes assumes no traffic.
The Hartford Business Journal reported on March 27, 2025, that our founder chose 306 Market St for its visibility at the I-84 and I-91 intersection.
When you pull in, we have free on-site parking, and the store has CT Transit bus access too.
On and around the town green
The town had an estimated 14,739 residents in 2024 and covers 39.6 square miles of land in the Capitol Planning Region. The town was incorporated in 1722, according to the Secretary of the State's table of town establishment dates.
Start on the green itself. The Hicks-Stearns Family Museum at 42 Tolland Green is a house built circa 1750 that later served as a tavern and post office.
The historical society sits at 52 and 53 on the same green. The old county jail museum was built in 1856 and has 32 original cells, and the old county courthouse dates from 1822.
Off the green, the Daniel Benton Homestead on Metcalf Road is a colonial cape built circa 1720.
