- Take Route 8 south. Pershing Drive is now exit 13A on Route 8, and it was exit 16 before mileage based renumbering. Connecticut DOT began mileage based exit number signs on Route 8 on July 8, 2024, as its exit renumbering advisory explains, so a note that says exit 16 means the same ramp.
- Do not plan on exit 13A going south. The ramp is a northbound exit and southbound entrance, so there is no Pershing Drive exit on the way down from town. Put 90 Pershing Dr into your maps app and take the exit it gives you.
- Get help choosing in the store. Our hosts carry iPads and help you browse the menu and order, or you can sit down at the Bud Bar for a consult.
- Pay with cash or debit. We accept cash and debit cards, and credit cards cannot be used. There is an on-site ATM.
- Head home north. Because 13A is a southbound entrance, it will not take you back toward town, so let your maps app find the northbound on-ramp.
Lime Ridge, French Memorial Park and the town around them
Little-Laurel Lime Ridge Park, at Tomlinson Road and Laurel Ridge Road, covers 209 acres with hiking trails and is noted for its limestone caves. French Memorial Park, at Spruce Street and Nichols Street, has a scenic overlook and a seasonal band stand. The town's parks department page gives the street locations for both.
The town had an estimated 17,139 residents in 2024 and covers 14.5 square miles of land in the Naugatuck Valley Planning Region, according to US Census Bureau figures. It was incorporated in 1850.
How a Bud Bar consult works
We opened the state's first bud bar at this store, where customers can examine and smell products before buying, as the Hartford Business Journal reported on March 27, 2025. NBC Connecticut reported on April 2, 2025 that we are the first in the state with a bud bar using U-shaped display cases.
The Bud Bar is a dedicated consultation area toward the back of the showroom, where you sit down one on one with a budtender. The products on display stay in plastic containers, so you look and smell before you decide.
Most flower listings on our Derby menu show terpene values, so bring a listing you are curious about and go over its terpene values with the budtender.

Yes, parking is free and on site. The Valley Independent Sentinel reported in January 2025 that the store is about 3,000 square feet with 90 parking spaces.
Can someone else accept my delivery?
No. Only the adult who placed the order, 21 or older with ID that matches, can accept it under Connecticut law.
